Own AI. Own Your Future.
Build real-world AI skills that have business impact.
Learn cluster analysis with Python.
Real-World AI in 2025. Will You Be Ready?
“Python in Excel is intended to empower everyone (and we mean everyone now that we also have Copilot in Excel with Python) to do data analysis in an easy, secure, and compliant way.”
-Keyur Patel, Principal Program Manager at Microsoft
AI is Being Sold Like it’s Magic
Microsoft will be like every other AI vendor out there - promising that Copilot will magically transform your organization:
Everyone in the organization with Copilot in Excel can perform amazing data analyses.
Better yet, with Copilot in Excel, everyone can harness the power of Python to perform advanced analytics.
Best of all, with Copilot in Excel, nobody needs to understand analytics, and they don’t need to know Python!
What Microsoft Won’t Tell Your Executives
Copilot makes mistakes.
Sometimes, it makes stuff up out of thin air!
The technical term for this is "hallucinations."
Sam Altman, the CEO of the most famous AI company (OpenAI), stated that hallucinations are more a feature of AI than a bug.
Think about this for a second. What Sam Altman is saying is that hallucinations are inherent in every AI. There’s nothing you can do about it.
Every AI will sometimes make stuff up at random.
How You Own AI
Because AI hallucinates, you still need a human in the loop to validate what Copilot produces. If you don’t do this, you’re playing with 🔥.
That’s the bad news.
Here’s the good news.
With DIY data science skills, AI technologies will allow you to do data science faster.
Learn One of the Most Valuable Data Science Skills
Cluster analysis is an OG data science skill that is valuable to ANY professional.
If you are unfamiliar with it, cluster analysis mines your data for hidden groups. You can think of it working like this.
Each row of your dataset is assigned a number (i.e., a cluster assignment).
Rows with the same cluster assignment are more alike than rows of data with different cluster assignments.
Sounds simple, doesn’t it? Maybe it's too simple to be useful?
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Cluster analysis is battle-tested and is used across every business domain to craft new insights:
Marketing professionals use cluster analysis to segment customers, optimize ad creative, and campaign personalization.
Finance professionals use cluster analysis in risk assessment and fraud detection.
Healthcare professionals use cluster analysis to segment patients, analyze disease outbreaks, and optimize resource allocations.
Product management professionals use cluster analysis to prioritize feature enhancements and better understand user segments.
And this list goes on!
My self-paced online course will teach you the cluster analysis skills I’ve successfully used as a hands-on data scientist and analytics consultant for years.
You’ve Got This if You Want It!
I’ve successfully taught 1000s of professionals real-world data science skills. Professionals from all kinds of roles and backgrounds. I can teach you cluster analysis.
But I don’t expect you to believe me. I like to let my content do the talking.
Check out this video and I’ll teach you how k-means clustering works - no math required.
Be an “AI Professional” for Real
Employers will grow to expect that any professional can do data science because of AI.
The future is clear. With AI, most data science won’t be done by Data Analysts and Data Scientists.
My Cluster Analysis with Python online course is the same training I give at national conferences and to my corporate clients.
Check out the job titles of these DIY data scientists and what they have to say about how I can empower you:
IT Manager and DIY data scientist
Business Analyst and DIY data scientist
Andrew and Adam are far from unique. I have successfully trained 1000s of professionals who have built DIY data science skills and are having more impact at work.
If they can do it, why not you?
What’s Inside
I teach only the techniques I use in my real-world work.
I’m going to be honest. I’ve only needed two cluster analysis techniques to get the job done.
The best thing about these techniques is that they are accessible to ANY professional.
No math beyond high school is needed. No calculus and no statistics.

New to Python? No Problem!
I’ve got a FREE offering for you.
My cluster analysis online course uses Python programming, but don’t let that scare you for two reasons:
You only need to learn a subset of Python to use it effectively for cluster analysis.
You can start with my free 7-hour Python Crash Course!
Designed for professionals with no programming background, it’ll prepare you for cluster analysis.
What folks have to say about my Python Crash Course
(BTW 👆 - I do have a SQL tutorial series on my YouTube channel.)
Greetings! I’m Your Instructor, Dave Langer.
LinkedIn Top Voice | Microsoft MVP | YouTuber
I’m not your typical data science instructor. I believe ANY professional can (and should) build DIY data science skills. To succeed in this mission, I have to do one thing and do it well.
I have to make learning data science fun.
Yes, you read that correctly.
I won’t lie. Many find the idea of applying cluster analysis intimidating. It shouldn’t be. It’s a skill like any other. You get better with practice.
Making learning data science fun makes getting started less intimidating.
You’ve got this if you want it.
What DIY Data Scientists Have to Say
The same top-rated training I bring to conferences and corporate clients.
“MIND BLOWN…not by the difficulty of the class, but by how EASY Dave makes machine learning within the reach of aspiring Data Scientists.
Easily the highlight of this year’s conference for me. I feel empowered to bring this material back to the job, put it to use, and teach it to others.”
— Chet Phelps, Health Solutions
“Fantastic intro ML course that’s presented in an engaging way. The content was easy to understand and the labs were easy to follow along. I’ve left the course wanting to dive deeper into the topic.”
— Jessica Liu, O-I Glass
“Very good course as an intro to machine learning. I feel that with what I learned today I can put these skills into practice at work.”
— David Green, EMWD
“Best training and instructor I’ve had. Organized, clear, good pace, helpful examples, and an engaging and fun instructor.”

No! While the math of k-means and DBSCAN is covered for completeness, there are three things you need to know:
The level of math is high school-level and no knowledge of calculus or statistics are required.
If you choose, you can ignore the math sections and still be effective.
You can always watch the recordings later if you would like to brush up on the math.
